Cameron Browne - Cameron is a software engineer, artificial intelligence (AI) researcher and one of the few people with a PhD in game design theory. He has been playing board games since he can remember, but now designs his own. A reluctant traveller, Cameron started life in Australia, spent a year in Seattle, and now lives in London. He has worked for some of the largest and smallest technology companies in the world but enjoys nothing more than being left alone to work on games. Cameron has written two definitive books on the subject, Connection Games: Variations on a Theme and Hex Strategy: Making the Right Connections. |

David Smith - David is a New Zealander with a chequered career in inventing games, writing songs and publishing books of limericks. In between, David has been a chartered accountant and a businessman. He first self published Trax in 1981 and it has since been republished by a dozen different game companies around the world. Colour of Strategy has administered the world rights to Trax since 2005. The game has been played extensively on numerous Internet sites including the Microsoft Gaming Zone. To date, David has had 22 games published, almost as many songs and a number of books. Trax remains his biggest success. |

Mike McManaway - Mike misspent his childhood with a fierce addiction to chess. Later he discovered backgammon and wasted days became wasted nights. After studying geology at Canterbury University, he worked briefly for IBM's marketing division before opening a small chain of specialist game and puzzle shops called "Mind Games". A few years later while on a hiking holiday in Patagonia, Mike came up with the idea for Tantrix, which has gone on to sell over three million copies. Apart from designing and publishing strategy games, Mike and his partner Britta are addicted to various adventure sports including climbing, caving, paragliding. and trail running. They divide their time between sunny Durance valley in the south of France and the equally sunny Nelson region of New Zealand. |
